Privacy Policy

Desk Profiles is a Mac app that restores your windows, sound output, wallpaper and apps when your displays change. It is built to keep everything on your Mac.

What we collect

Nothing. Desk Profiles has no account, no analytics, no tracking and no advertising, and it never sends data over the network.

What stays on your Mac

The profiles you save (window positions and sizes, app names, display names, your chosen audio output, wallpaper file locations and app lists) are stored in a file inside the app’s own folder on your Mac. Deleting the app or a profile deletes this data.

Accessibility permission

macOS requires Accessibility permission for any app that moves other apps’ windows. Desk Profiles uses it only to read and set window positions and sizes, and to choose Quit in apps you asked it to close. It does not read the contents of your windows, record keystrokes, or capture your screen.

Purchases

If you buy Desk Profiles on the Mac App Store, Apple handles the payment under Apple’s privacy policy. We don’t receive your payment details.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
