Help with Desk Profiles for Mac

Getting started

Arrange your windows with your monitor connected, click the Desk Profiles icon in the menu bar and choose Save Setup…. Next time you connect that monitor or wake your Mac, everything is restored automatically.

Windows don’t move

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility and make sure Desk Profiles is turned on. After an update you may need to turn it off and on again.

The wrong profile applies

Profiles are matched to the exact set of connected displays. Open Settings → Profiles to rename, edit or turn off automatic restore for a profile.

Full-screen windows

Full-screen and minimised windows are left alone on purpose.

Keyboard shortcuts

Use the Shortcuts app to add a shortcut for “Restore Desk for Current Displays” or “Apply Desk Profile”.
